I picked up this one in a splurge into the reverse harem world and really enjoyed this tale more than many. The main character is a little cliche but has so much spunk and bite with heart, that she's hard not to like. The adventure stays on high, making this a fast-paced read with more than just the 'romance'. The guy types are also a bit cliche, but that's one of the things which makes this genre so much fun. The main character's actions are sometimes a bit spontaneous and lack logic, which does irritate a little, but it doesn't deter the fun of the read.
Fans of reverse harem, action, and girls with spice are sure to love this read.

Wonderful little Halloween story. This was what I was missing from the main book. I was so disappointed to basically skip over Halloween in The House of Korba, but this was even better. One day, so many new experiences for Sang with her boys. Completely enjoyable, adorable little book!
C L Stone is a fun author, with very sweet, well developed characters, and interactions. I appreciate the distinct individual personality the author portrays among her caste, and the tie ins among her other series. The Ghost bird series holds a sense of innocence that is rather charming, with very sweet camaraderie and friendships, and of course the angst and romantic obsession of the young cast of characters.
The Ghost Bird series by C.L. Stone is one of my favorite Young Adult series to read. No matter how many times I re-read the series, it never gets less suspenseful!

If you have been on the fence about trying a C.L. Stone - The Academy series books, you should just hop over to the side that says YES, and read the first!
It was good to get a short story in between our long wait for the 7th book. and to get a glimpse of what happened before end of House of Korba. I enjoyed this short story immensely . I cant wait for more short story like Touch of Mischief, and I cant wait for the next full book . I love C.L. Stone's books I highly Recommend The Ghost bird series. and her other series The Scarab Beatle series.Thief and Liar.
I ordered this as an ebook so I can't comment on if the product was damaged or anything. I will say there were some grammatical errors, which bothered me, but if that doesn't bother you, then it won't be a problem. Really good writing, a nice addition to the series. I don't know if the errors are due to the fact that the editor didn't catch them, or if it was just with the ebook.
Touch of Mischief is a short story that takes place during House of Korba. I thought that Touch of Mischief was a really cute short that gave a glimpse into the workings of the Academy group and how Sang was integrating with them. It was a hilarious story that I was sad to see end. It was actually too short in my opinion (but probably because I am in dire need of more Academy boys!). In this short, we got a glimpse of how the boys celebrate Halloween, and it definitely got me excited to see what happens during Christmas. Overall, it was a cute and funny read that got me excited for the books to come.
Not only do the full books keep you entertained and engaged in the GB series but this short story does the wonderful job of filling in the holes. I love that every relationship is gets mentioned if not in a scene or two or with a word or two to Sang. Making her experience of Halloween so super special as her first homecoming ....C.L Stone captures perfect, imperfect moments with honest fun and flair.
Looking forward to Gabe's and Owen's story!!!! I'm totally a team Owen fan.
