I loved Primordium!! This book pulls the reader into its world and leaves you gasping for more. One of the number one thing's i look for in a book, is the ability for the reader to connect to the characters, and boy did this book deliver on that. I cried when Michael cried, I was angry when he was, and I was happy when he was. There were times were i almost threw my kindle at the wall out of frustration for him. If you want a book that will shake you to your very core and continue to excite you, READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!😁😁

Prophecy of the Heir The Chronicles of Time Volume 1 JC Lamont 9780692264751 Books Reviews

I read the first edition of Prophecy of the Heir back in 2012, and I just finished reading the rewrite, Primordium. I thought the book was excellent back then, but this version is a true masterpiece. It's the story of the Bible, written like fantasy, but written with well-researched history and facts. Seriously, you need to read this. You won't regret it.
I am an avid reader of Historical Novels, but this is my first review. God created us in His image, and Lamont does a wonderful job of characterizing this image in the lives of the Prince and all the Heavenly host. Their emotions of love, joy, sadness, frustration, anger and doubt put flesh and depth to the biblical drama as she weaves together the human and spiritual perspectives on the war for our lives.

Looking forward to the rest of this series.
The book kept my attention from the beginning. The author does an excellent job of weaving history and the biblical narrative together. The personalities of the supernatural characters make you care what happens to them as much as you care what happens to mankind.
This is a truly excellent book. The author's research and connections between various pagan deities and demons is well thought out and presented. I look forward to the next in this series. I would also suggest she consider writing a "who's who" or background book for this series, showing the connections between ancient pagan religions and how many of them are actually twisted retellings of Scripture.
Stunning best describes what JC Lamont has accomplished in Prophesy of the Heir. Stunning in the amount of research that was done, stunning in the way she brought that research to life through intriguing characters and stunning in the captivating way she wove her story-telling from the beginning of time through the birth of Christ.
Through the eyes of the archangel Michael, Prophesy of the Heir gives you a fictional glimpse into the spirit realm. Michael's interactions with other angels, the Prince and particularly his passion for the "mud-race" are told in such a compelling style that you want to pick up your sword and join in the fight to protect the coming Heir. While there are some moments in the book that are haunting (and unfortunately, true), there are also moments of humor, compassion and overwhelming love.
I highly recommend this book and as for me, Prophesy of the Heir will now go into the "annual reading" section on my bookshelf.
I was completely taken in by the purity and clarity of the author's obvious understanding of events studied from the Old Testament and on into the beginnings of the Gospels of the New Testament. Her ability to follow the line of supernatural intent pertaining to the lineage of the "Heir", also referred to as the "Prince", spoke of a mature and inspired intellect and steady heart for the telling of events from archangel and demon perspective, never losing track of the purpose and intent of the "Heir", which is love. The stories take place over centuries of time, but the writing never gets lost in the journey. The author relates delicate events, such as the miracle of immaculate conception, in tender and sweet terms such as can be easily shared with all ages, young children to adult. I read with a bit of inspired awe, and hated to have the story end. Ending as it did only makes the reader yearn for the sequel and how it will be told from this intriguing and thoughtful author. I highly recommend this book.
It's not easy writing a story already written, much less with characters that most readers will have a preconceived notion of how they should appear and react.

This is the book's main weakness, secondary to the unfamiliar terms and different spellings. Having the Glossary at the beginning instead of the ending (and with the eBook, I didn't even know it was there until I had finished the book) would aid considerably in clearing up doubts to the author's meaning. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the real names of people and places, and this distracted from the story.

That's why I'm giving this four stars instead of five.

The writing is good, despite the slowness of the first half and the frustration of the angels doing little or nothing except time-killing angst that didn't move the story along or aid the plot.

The last half of the book almost made up for it, though; the pace picks up and is maintained. The angels are given more to do than just stand around and complain. The last half is superior story-telling.

If you like angel stories, you might want to give a try; it is worth sticking with until the end, which leads satisfactorily into the next book.
